A few days after Madeleine McCann disappeared from the Ocean Club holiday resort in Praia da Luz, Algarve, on May 3, 2007 (seven years ago), a witness emerged: a British tourist who said she saw the girl's father walking On the beach at night. The revelation was made by the former coordinator of PJ Gonçalo Amaral, who adds that the data of this witness disappeared.

"We tried to recover this testimony and the documents that were in the British sphere and simply disappeared. We still do not know who this person is and where he is," said Gonçalo Amaral. Today, the former PJ coordinator of Portimão will meet again with Gerry and Kate at the Justice Palace in Lisbon, as they will continue the trial in which the British couple asks for 1.2 million euros compensation for the publication Of the book 'Maddie, The Truth of the Lie', by Gonçalo Amaral, in which she defends the thesis that the parents are responsible for the disappearance of the girl and for hiding the corpse (see box). Gonçalo Amaral has no doubt that Maddie is dead. "The parents of the girl had the key to the church and in the same church a wake was held a month after the disappearance. According to some information, the child could well go at the feet of this woman who was going to be cremated," explained Gonçalo Amaral.
