Something that shouldn't have been there

"Forensic Evidence"

Analysed by Detective Chief Inspector Peter Kirkham, former Scotland Yard murder squad investigator

Clue: Blood on window sill of apartment at Ocean World resort which matches Madeleine's DNA profile

Dci Kirkham says: "She could have reached this herself which means it is not necessarily suspicious. She could have cut herself or bumped into it so it is of interest but not significant on its own."

Clue: Blood on floor of apartment at Ocean World resort which dried fresh and matched Madeleine's DNA profile

Dci Kirkham says: "Children can fall over and bump themselves and it's unlikely that they do themselves a lot of harm. The significance of this depends on how much and the spray or pattern it forms."

Clue: Police teams still searching for Madeleine in surrounding and wider area of Portugal

Dci Kirkham says: "To find a body in any murder is absolutely crucial even after several months. It moves an investigation forward a million miles with new leads. There are soil samples to examine, other forensic traces to detect and items to examine. Without a body, you are at step one, with a body you are at step nine."

Clue: Blood, hairs and other bodily fluids in interior and boot lining of Renault Scenic

Dci Kirkham says: "This is much harder to explain away innocently. If there is more than a few spots that suggests something sinister. If there is bodily fluid from a decomposing corpse it is almost impossible to come up with an innocent explanation."

Clue: Search of the nearby villa which Kate and Gerry McCann rented after they left Ocean World Resort

Dci Kirkham says: "If the police believe a corpse has been moved they will ask, 'Where was it wrapped?' If there are traces in the car there would have been traces on clothes. If there were traces on clothes they could have been transferred to the villa."

Clue: Cuddle Cat, which Kate says she left with Madeleine but she says was found on a shelf afterwards

Dci Kirkham says: "This was given as evidence that Madeleine did not wander off. But Portuguese police will not take it at face value now Kate is a suspect."

Polygraph Tests

Why would Kate say she would only do a lie detector test if it was 100% admissible in a Portuguese court?.
If she had nothing to worry about and was completely innocent with nothing to hide then why would she not do it??

1. Your daughter is missing.
2. You are being accused of harming her.
3. You are offered a lie detector test to help prove your innocence by chairman of the British and European Polygraph Association.
4. You refuse.....
What parent do you know that would refuse to do a lie detector if they were innocent?

Sunday 18 November 2007
It is revealed that Kate McCann has refused to take a lie detector test despite previously stating, on 21 September, that she would take one to prove her innocence.
Don Cargill, chairman of the British and European Polygraph Association, said the McCanns told him they would only take the test if it was 100 per cent accurate and admissible in a Portuguese court.
"I was left with the impression the whole thing was a PR exercise to get sympathy at a time when Kate was under increasing scrutiny." said Mr Cargill.

We will take lie detector test say Kate and Gerry McCann

21 SEP 2007 UPDATED 21:12, 8 MAY 2013

THE PARENTS of Madeleine McCann are prepared to take a lie detector test to prove their innocence.
Friends say Kate and Gerry McCann want to show they have nothing to hide over the disappearance of the four-year-old who went missing on a family holiday to Portugal in May.
The couple’s decision is the latest stage in a high-profile fightback led by family and friends against police suspicions they may been responsible for Madeleine’s death and staged an elaborate cover-up.

The McCanns were declared official suspects by detectives two weeks ago after DNA traces in a car hired after her disappearance were used to suggest the vehicle had been used to carry Madeleine’s body.

The couple have returned to Britain and have been told that police do not have enough evidence to justify interviewing them again.

But they remain suspects and say they are determined to clear their names and continue the search for Madeleine who they believe may be still alive.

A friend said: “If they are asked to take a lie detector test by police they would. Kate and Gerry are happy to do anything that will clear their names.”

Now Kate McCann refuses to take a lie detector test to clear her name

Kate McCann has refused to take a lie detector test about her daughter Madeleine's disappearance, it was revealed yesterday.
She and husband Gerry had offered to undergo a polygraph examination in September, after they were made official suspects in the investigation.
But it has now emerged that they have refused an expert's offer to carry it out, because the results would not be admissible as evidence to a Portuguese court.
Don Cargill, chairman of the British and European Polygraph Association, said the McCanns told him they would only take the test if it was 100 per cent accurate and admissible in a Portuguese court.
He told the Sunday Express: "Kate said she'd take it to prove her innocence but in reality, she wasn't willing.
"I was dumbfounded, to tell the truth.
"I don't think it was the McCanns' fault. I was left with the impression the whole thing was a PR exercise to get sympathy at a time when Kate was under increasing scrutiny."
Lie detectors work by measuring physiological responses such as blood pressure levels, pulse rate, breathing and sweat gland activity in the skin during questioning.
Any significant difference in these rates may indicate the subject is lying.
The process has been criticised but the American Polygraph Association claims the current computerised technology is 98 per cent accurate.
They are not admissible in British or Portuguese courts.
McCann spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: "Of course they are not going to take the test. It's inadmissible in Portugal and there are doubts about the accuracy.
"Gerry and Kate don't need to do one as they are telling the truth."

Crisis actors in a sick game

They are just "crisis " actors, acting out a well paid role. The threat of death for non compliance, is the price imposed by the real criminals. Blair and Brown. Whether they were involved behind the scenes or not, they were complicit in the never ending publicity, especially the directing of court decisions. It's just like Sandy hook, or the Boston bombing. Cover up from the top, media conformity and lies and money. Why? I don't know, wish I did..... Maddie was not important to the McCanns, money and lifestyle was. We are all patronised in some way, lesser or greater, this was and is, their sin.
Were the McCanns not middle class doctors, they would have been utterly destroyed and torn apart by the media. They have had an easier ride because of their social position. Ben Needhams mother has never had anywhere near the level of support offered in her search for her missing son. The class system is still very much alive and kicking within the UK to the detriment of the working classes - I don't recall a Prime Minister or two weighing in on the side of Ms Needham. The most she got were the valiant efforts of Esther Rantzen to keep young Bens story alive in the media and on Thats Life. Both cases are tragic and deserved the same level of support !
When you look at how other parents of missing children's parents behave, it is clear that the McCann's do behave in an odd manner. They always appear to be more concerned with defending themselves than finding their daughter. If anyone else in these circumstances was told that a corpse smell was detected, they would scream with pain, they would be inconsolable, they would be grief stricken, they would ask the police to investigate further and do everything in their power to make sure that all lines of enquiry were kept open. so that the truth could be found. They are more concerned and have always been more concerned in proving that she is alive so that the fund can continue, so that they can sell the merchandise for YOU to look for their daughter. You've seen the searches in Praia Da Luz, they were not digging for a live Maddie. The McCanns were not there when the digs were undertaken, but a couple of weeks later they were in attendance at the damages trial. That speaks volumes to me. They thought they had a done deal, a few more thousand in the kitty. Their greed knew no bounds and ultimately is turning out to be the beginning of their downfall, long may it continue.
I'm surprised that Kate found the time or inclination or was lucid enough to write a diary. Was it prepared in advance for the world to read? The setting up of the website and fund within a few 'working days' after Madeleine's disappearance is quite some achievement, the pouring in of the money to the fund certainly cheered Gerry up, according to family members. Just a few days later he can be seen standing on the hotel balcony laughing his little cotton socks off. I suppose at that time Kate must have been scribbling away in her land of make believe telling all and sundry how Gerry didn't help with the household chores and that she had to cope alone with her two youngest children. It also means the diary was written on the back of lie, pure fabrication. The Portuguese police files claim Maddie died in apartment 5a, that means Kate would have written the diary under false pretences and then received £125,000 HUSH MONEY from the News Of The World because they published the diaries without permission.

The Guardian was extraordinarily quick at changing the headline
